On May 15, 2011 the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall was filled with the sounds of the 18th century. Maestro Longobardi and the SSYO led by concertmaster Chris Goodwin,
performed the works of Albinoni, Tartini, Vivaldi, Pergolesi and a beautifully performed piano concerto by Tommaso Giordani. The program highlighted the 18th century music from the Dueling Kingdoms: Naples and Venice.
The program ended with a spirited encore performance of Porpora’s Sinfonia da Camera per
Archi-Fuga. Maestro Longobardi complimented the orchestra “Bravo to the musicians of SSYO for proving that professionalism is a state of mind. Bravo to you for your dedication and love of music.” Read more or watch the videos.
